At this critical juncture, we must rely on facts, evidence and reasoned compromise, and refuse to be swayed by falsehoods, extremism and the cult of personality. We must act now to change direction or we are in very real danger of losing our freedoms, our voting rights and our precious democracy. I am running because the incumbent is part of the problem by voting against the interests of Idahoans and for his PAC donors and far-right friends, as demonstrated by his opposition to the American Rescue Plan; the Federal Infrastructure Bill, and to the Postal Service Reform Act.

Julie Wiley: District 2 Representative

Julie Wiley: District 2 Representative

https://julieforcongress.org/

As a retired counselor, both in private practice and the school system, Julie has seen firsthand the challenges faced by individuals at all stages of life. She has been married to Howard Wiley, a retired guidance counselor and college advisor, for nearly 44 years. Together, they raised two children. Julie is dedicated to bridging the divide we feel in our country, strengthening communities, building opportunity, and protecting democracy for future generations.  If Congress can afford tax cuts for billionaires, it can afford to feed families. It’s time to bring love, wisdom, and courage back to Washington.

Candidates for Governor and Lieutenant Governor

Terri Pickens: Governor

Eric Myricks: Lieutenant Governor

Eric Myricks: Lieutenant Governor

Affordability is about whether families stay in their homes, whether seniors afford prescriptions, and whether young people have a future here in Idaho. Idaho’s affordability crisis didn’t happen by accident. For years, state leaders made choices that tilt the playing field toward wealthy individuals and corporations and forced working families to pick up the tab. I believe in a balanced Idaho economy where prosperity is shared, not hoarded at the top.

Balancing wealth doesn’t mean punishing success. It means asking the wealthiest to pay a fair share to lower costs and strengthen the services that make life affordable for everyone else.

When we invest wisely, we can:

  • Expand affordable housing
  • Lower utility and energy costs
  • Strengthen public schools
  • Support healthcare access

Eric Myricks: Lieutenant Governor

Eric Myricks: Lieutenant Governor

Eric Myricks: Lieutenant Governor

When the truth is uncomfortable, that’s exactly when leadership is required. The Lt. Governor is often tasked with leading statewide initiatives, negotiating with federal agencies, and coordinating between state departments and local governments. Done well, the office becomes a force for statewide problem solving. Done poorly, it becomes a holding tank for old ideas. And this year, Idaho faces a choice between two very different visions for what this office can be. I will fight to protect Medicaid expansion because the consequences of losing it are not abstract—they are immediate, human, and devastating. Idaho ranks near the bottom in per-student funding and teacher pay, and families feel it every day. Overcrowded classrooms, underpaid teachers, and lost opportunities are holding our kids back. It’s time to fully fund our public schools, repeal the voucher scheme that drains local classrooms, and pay teachers what they’re worth. Our roads are crumbling, our schools are underfunded, and our seniors can’t afford care. Fiscal responsibility must be balanced with fiscal humanity.

Candidates for Idaho State Senate

Brian Seguin: District 3 Kootenai County

Brian Seguin: District 3 Kootenai County

Brian Seguin: District 3 Kootenai County

https://www.brian4idaho.com/

The median age of a Kootenai County resident is expected to rise dramatically in the next half decade as more retirees relocate to our state. While housing and cost-of-living expenses continue to rise for single residents and young families how will demand impact labor and business? Will generational Idahoans be able to remain in the state they have called home? I have a framework for addressing pressing issues in our region with an emphasis on prioritizing the people of Idaho over partisanship.

Much more can be done for Idahoans than is currently being done. My primary goals are to bring back financial stability to Idaho, protect our public lands, reinstate Women’s Health Rights, and create affordable housing for our families. Removing tax cuts for the wealthy, protecting public lands federally, giving women bodily autonomy, and increasing homestead exemptions will create significant progress for Idahoans. I am particularly focused on addressing home affordability by turning vacant commercial property into low-income multi-units which could be a “win-win”. We would be creating a larger tax base for our communities, lighten the homeowner tax burden, and supplying the demand for affordable housing.

I am dedicated to ensuring equality and equity within District 13. Hate and fear have only divided us. Using manipulation and scare tactics to separate Idaho families and communities is unacceptable; ordering voters around like troops is unacceptable. We the people deserve leadership that will fight for families and ensure our communities will thrive.  My loyalty lies with hard-working Idahoans. I am a working-class mother of four and a proud wife on a mission to bridge the gap, bringing back the actual values we all once shared, focusing on education, fair pay, and healthcare for all. I will always choose people over profit—every single time.

  • Support OUR public schools
  • Protect Idaho’s public lands
  • Advocate for affordable health care
  • Ensure affordable housing in the district
  • Promote fiscal responsibility

Nancy Gregory: District 15 Ada County

My professional background has primarily been in housing and homelessness, which is frequently cited as one of Idahoans’ top concerns. In 2021, I successfully fought for $50 million in funding for Idaho’s Housing Trust Fund, which had sat empty for 30 years. The fund created over 1,200 units of housing that’s affordable to working families across the state. When renters were being taken advantage of by large corporations, I passed a bill to make junk fees more limited and transparent. When eviction rates doubled due to the rising cost of housing, I passed a bill to remove dismissed evictions from tenants’ records. And when shelters needed a fix to allow them to provide shelter to runaway youth, I passed a bill gives kids access to needed services. When our state wasn’t doing much to fix the rising cost of housing, I formed a committee to evaluate the issue and come up with solutions. I continue to serve and seek office so I can help our state address real challenges in a way that serves real Idahoans - making sure my two boys can afford to stay in Idaho when they grow up - and I hope I can count on your support.

Janie Ward-Engelking: District 18 Ada County

Janie Ward-Engelking: District 18 Ada County

As your state senator, I will continue to:

  • Fight to fully fund our public schools and universities, ensuring every Idaho kid has the opportunity they deserve.
  • Advocate for common-sense property tax relief for Idahoans, especially those on fixed incomes and tight budgets.
  • Defend Idaho’s clean air, clean water, and access to open spaces.
  • Stand for our shared values of civility, decency, and kindness.
  • Fiercely fight for reproductive freedom.

During my time in the senate, we have made progress in teacher pay, school facilities funding, deferred maintenance for roads and bridges, broadband access, updating water facilities, property tax relief, and income tax rate reduction; however, there is still more to do. We still have an antiquated education funding formula, zero protection for IVF in Idaho, a lack of clarity on when doctors can intervene to save the life of the mother, Idaho doctors continue to be threatened with jail and loss of their licenses, cost of housing keeps people from living where they work, and property taxes remain too high. As a member of the Minority Leadership Team, Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee, Commerce and Human Resource Committee, and Senate Education, I will continue to advocate for funding for public schools, real property tax relief, quality childcare for working families, affordable housing, protection for doctors and families, and voting access for Idahoans.

I'm a hard worker; I've always had a job somewhere ever since I was 17 (I started at Kroger), and I've never been fired or reprimanded. I currently work 25-32 hours a week at Walmart while I pursue a Bachelor's in Political Science at BYU-Idaho.

(I even do DoorDash on the side whenever things get really tight).

As a result, I know what it's like to work for a living, to work to get by. I know what government policies will make Madison County an even better place - a more comfortable place - to work and live.

I support voting rights, initiative/referendum rights and the rights of citizens to elect local leaders who make decisions in the best interest of their communities, free from state government overreach. I support public schools and will work to fulfill our constitutional duty "to establish and maintain a general, uniform and thorough system of public, free common schools."  Housing costs have become a huge burden for residents. We need a combination of government and private sector solutions to reduce rents and increase the supply of quality, affordable housing. Idahoans did something extraordinary in 2018. We got an initiative passed to expand Medicaid access and every day since, Republicans have chipped away at it, going against the will of the people. Republican politicians in power fundamentally do not believe in public education, and their private school voucher program will both cripple our public schools and tank the budget. Idahoans deserve better.

I have been involved in many issues this last session including fighting laws that restrict voting, protecting the right to access competent medical care , education funding, property tax fairness, and repeal of the grocery tax to slow inflation and many others. I supported the Idaho Launch Scholarships which have benefitted over 100 students in our district. I opposed legislation, sometimes successfully, that restricts the right to competent medical care, and I fought against legislation that involved the state in local library decisions. I have worked for state pay keeping up with inflation. I helped write and was floor co-sponsor of HB 575 that prohibits perpetrators from recreating identifiable people in fake sexual positions. It became law and includes a criminal penalty.
